Birds

Lately, when Ethan notices birds flying in the air, he'll say "uh-oh" as if God has dropped them from the sky.

Ethan's full

He must have realized, so early in his life, that I'm a visual person and comprehend things better when I actually see them, because when I ask if he's full at the dinner table, he'll lift up his shirt, poke at his belly and say "duh" for "done".

Chip off the old block

No sooner than Richard (jokingly) smashes an empty Coke can against his forehead (which he does quite often, so it's questionable whether he really is joking) then Ethan takes his hands and hits his head repeatedly. I swear I'm going to have to start watching them more closely - they may need to seek (mental) help! :) I just hope it doesn't rub off.

Tissues

Ethan now understands the purpose of a Kleenex. He grabbed one this evening and wiped his nose, immediately followed by another tissue and a wipe to the nose, and another. I foresee a trip to Sam's Club to buy a bulk of tissues. At least he's learning!

Ethan's new toy

He loves this thing. It is the first thing that he grabs when he gets home from daycare. Richard said he would blame me if Ethan turns out gay. All I can say is, he is what he is. I only wish the darn thing would actually pick up stuff. As much as he plays with it, this place would be so clean, you'd be able to eat off the floor. Okay, maybe not.

Computer fascination

Richard and I may be in need of another computer. However, if we're not careful, we may be on the lookout for some parental control software so we can monitor which sites Ethan accesses. Just kidding, Ethan is actually typing away on a Word document. Of course, by the look on his face in the 3rd photo, you might think he was studying something.

Ketchup for the 1st time

Ethan has finally discovered ketchup. I know he's 18 months old, but I guess I don't want him to grow up too quickly. It's either that or I'm a little leary of him eating fattening foods (which normally come with ketchup) because I don't want him to be a little porker. He's even had french fries. Oh, the horror of it!! And not even the baked in the oven kind he gets at home - the real deal! I better get him on a weight management plan now.

Family

We finally had another family photo taken of all three of us. The last one we had taken was a professional one done when Ethan was 6 months old. We set up the tripod in the living room and took several. However, this one was probably the best. We probably wouldn't have had taken any if Ethan didn't need a family photo for daycare.
